HOPE COVE

The village is small but is has beautiful clean and safe beaches. There is a village store with Post Office, local inn (The Hope and Anchor) and a small art gallery.  There is a small Methodist Chapel in the old part of Inner Hope Cove and two churches one in Hope Cove and another in the next village of Galmpton, all run week-end services.All of these facilities are within walking distance from the hotel.

From Hope Cove you can walk miles, inland or along the coastal path. (its is known as a walkers paradise).

KINGSBRIDGE AND SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge and Salcombe are both old towns, Kingsbridge being an old Market town and Salcombe a fishing town. Salcombe is still a working fishing harbour and many of the restaurant and Inns use the local catch. Both towns have many eating and drinking venues. You can even catch a boat from either town and take a trip along the estuary spotting all the wildlife which live in the estuary banks.

A wide range of activities to suit all age groups are available locally including, sailing, riding. Fishing, golf and wind surfing to name a few.

Plymouth – Historic Naval City with trips around the dock side and the famous Plymouth Hoe where there is a statue of Sir Francis Drake, the first Englishman to circumnavigate the Globe. He was born in the near by town of Tavistock which is located on Dartmoor, a beautiful National Park of moorland and Tors to visit and walk.
